The bank statement
Payments come from the bank, not by hand. Buchify reads the statement and matches them.
- Import camt.053Every transaction in the statement — incoming and outgoing — with date, amount and reference.
- Several bank accountsPer account a number in the chart of accounts, the IBAN and the currency – a euro account too. The statement finds its account by the IBAN, each account has its own tab.
- No duplicate importsEvery file gets a fingerprint. Importing it twice doesn’t post anything twice.
- Check against the closing balanceIf the sum of the transactions doesn’t match the bank’s balance, Buchify tells you — before anything is posted.
- Match incoming paymentsAutomatically via the QR reference, otherwise with one click. Partial payments remain as an open balance.
- Pay supplier invoicesLink a debit to one or more open supplier invoices. The sum has to add up, otherwise nothing is posted.
- Already recorded by handIf you have already recorded a payment on the invoice, Buchify finds it on import and links the bank transaction to it – instead of booking it a second time.
- Stripe payouts booked automaticallyCard and TWINT payments through your Stripe account – payment link, till or Pixify shop – sit on an account of their own. Buchify fetches the fee from Stripe and books the payout to the bank itself, to the cent.
- VAT payment recognisedBuchify recognises a payment to the Swiss Federal Tax Administration and suggests the VAT settlement account – that is where closing the period booked what is owed.
- Payment file for suppliersTick your open supplier invoices and upload the file (pain.001) to your e-banking – with a QR or RF reference, in CHF and EUR, abroad too. You then match the debit here. More →
- Input tax at the right timeWith the received consideration method, the payment date counts — and that comes from the statement.

Questions about the bank
Does Buchify need access to my e-banking?
No. Buchify reads the camt file you download from your e-banking. It doesn’t connect to any bank and never knows a bank password. You upload the payment file for suppliers and salaries to your e-banking yourself.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in Europe (Frankfurt am Main), operated in line with the Swiss FADP and the European GDPR. Your documents are kept as PDFs, exactly as they were sent, and everything can be exported at any time.
See it with real transactions.
The demo company has two bank accounts, one in euros, with fifteen transactions – four of them are waiting for you.
